Job summary

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is seeking Psychologists, Psychological Associates, and Psycho-Educational Consultants to support students across board-wide locations. The role involves applying expertise in psychology to assess, intervene, and consult to meet mental health and learning needs.

Position is replacement, with opportunities to work under supervision and contribute to educational programs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in School, Clinical or Counselling Psychology and registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
• Master's degree in School, Clinical or Counselling Psychology required for Psychological Associates, with registration.
• Master's degree in School, Clinical or Counselling Psychology; working towards registration for independent practice (for Psycho-Educational Consultants).
• Previous experience in a school psychology setting is an asset.
• Experience administering psychological assessments measuring intellectual, academic, social, behavioural and emotional/mental health functioning in children and adolescents.
• Experience with consulting, counselling and primary, secondary and tertiary intervention programs and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of human behaviour, development and mental health to learning, mental health and well-being needs of students through psychological assessment, intervention and consultation.
• Provide psychological assessment, intervention and consultation services under clinical supervision as required by the regulatory college.
