Job summary
Lumentum Canada is seeking a Product Environmental Compliance Engineer to join our Ottawa team onsite. You will work with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure our products meet international environmental regulations throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in environmental compliance, product stewardship or sustainability in manufacturing/engineering.
- Experience with international environmental regulations (EU RoHS, REACH, etc.).
- Ability to analyse BOMs and supplier declarations for compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review supplier material declarations, technical specs and test reports to verify product compliance.
- Analyse BOMs and materials against global environmental regulations.
- Prepare product compliance declarations and Full Material Declarations (FMDs).
- Respond to customer environmental compliance enquiries and questionnaires.
- Support engineering change processes to maintain product compliance.
- Collect and analyse supplier conflict minerals data and produce consolidated reports.
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and report findings.
- Monitor changes in global environmental legislation and advise the business on compliance.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturers and Sales.
