Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is hiring a Financial Analyst, Funded Programs, to manage financial administration, analysis, and reporting for government-funded contracts and other funding agreements.

Reporting to the Controller, you will oversee compliance, claims, forecasts, and financial reporting for programs including settlement services, language, employment, childcare, and youth development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration required.
• 2–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or reporting experience.
• Experience with government-funded or not-for-profit programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contract administration, compliance monitoring, and file maintenance.
• Prepare financial claims, reports, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Budgeting, forecasting, variance analyses, and cash-flow monitoring.
• Provide guidance to managers on contract budgeting and compliance.
• Support audits, funder reviews, and process improvements.
