Stripe is seeking a Data Scientist in Canada to partner with product, finance and risk teams. You will apply machine learning, causal inference, and experimentation to optimize payments, growth, and forecasting while delivering clear insights to stakeholders.

You will work with data, build models, run experiments, and help shape Stripe’s data strategy. The role requires collaboration across teams and a strong business mindset to drive measurable impact.

Qualifications

• PhD, MS, or BS with strong data science or quantitative modeling experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
• Ability to communicate results clearly and drive impact.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate analyses into recommendations.
• Proficiency with AI tools to accelerate model development and coding.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Finance, Payments, Security, Risk, Growth, and GTM teams to analyze data and build data-driven models.
• Apply ML, statistics, causal inference, optimization, and experimentation to improve processes.
• Translate complex analyses into actionable business insights for decision making.
