Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development or equivalent in distributed systems.
• Experience as a technical lead, providing direction across multiple teams and mentoring.
• Experience building/operating production ML platforms (training, serving, orchestration, data systems).
• Strong product sense and business context; excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work across ML engineers, data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end architecture and system design for large ML Platform projects.
• Define technical direction for ambiguous projects; transform needs into long-lasting platform strategy.
• Design architectures for ML training, serving, feature stores, monitoring, and real-time inference.
• Translate ideas into robust solutions shaping platform and product roadmaps.
• Lead large projects from requirements through design, implementation, and production operations.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Arbitrate decisions balancing latency, reliability, cost, and security constraints.
• Engage senior leaders and advise on technical considerations across the ML lifecycle.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to improve ML development velocity and MLOps maturity.
• Mentor and grow engineers; act as a role model for designing and operating software systems.
