Job summary

Asana is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer (Identity) to join our Vancouver IT team and support internal and cloud-based identity infrastructure. You will drive automation to increase IT efficiency and improve end-user experiences across Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, and Asana itself.

Based in our Vancouver office with a hybrid schedule, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design security policies and scale IT services globally, while focusing on reliability and proactive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SSO integrations (Okta or similar).
• Experience managing cloud-based identity apps (Google Workspace, Okta, Slack).
• Knowledge of iPaaS tools such as Bettercloud or Workato.
• Experience navigating ticket-based enterprise workflow systems.
• Strong problem-solving with a service-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Python or similar scripting; curiosity about AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive efficiency by implementing automated SSO onboarding and off-boarding processes.
• Empower the organization through expert administration and support of Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
• Design and deliver security policies in partnership with the Security team to protect our global user base.
• Scale IT services by identifying and executing on high-impact automation opportunities.
• Standardize and automate routine IT tasks to improve overall system reliability.
• Resolve complex technical escalations with a focus on building long-term preventative solutions.
• Foster a robust IT environment by collaborating with Support and Security teams to resolve systemic issues.
