Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an Ice Operations Technician to handle preventative facility maintenance, emergency repairs, and day-to-day ice operations. You will operate the Zamboni and support arena maintenance across OVGs Ovintiv Events Centre in the Peace Region.

This part-time role offers pension matching and requires flexibility across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience with arena operations and safety compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years in facility setups or events (ice, concerts, trade shows).
• Valid WHMIS ticket or willing to obtain within 3 months.
• Valid First Aid and CPR/AED or willing to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform arena maintenance and changeovers.
• Operate Zamboni for ice maintenance when needed.
• Maintain and clean equipment and areas; ensure safe facility operations.
• Assist with ice maintenance and ice rentals as required.
• Complete required incident reports and paperwork.
• Ensure entrances, exits, and parking are clean and snow/ice-free.
