A leading company in testing services seeks an I&C Technologist for a contract-to-hire position in its mechanical lab. The role focuses on developing and troubleshooting LabVIEW programs, ensuring precise signal acquisition and data processing. Join a diverse, talented team dedicated to innovative testing solutions.
The I&C Technologist will create various LabVIEW processes to measure test results in the Mechanical Lab. 80% of the time, you will troubleshoot and create sensors while developing LabVIEW programs in a cubicle. The remaining 20% of the time, you will be in the lab rolling out processes, programs, and troubleshooting and maintaining systems. Your responsibilities will focus on signal acquisition, measurements and sensors, signals and data processing, and the development and commissioning of LabVIEW programs.
You will be part of the Overhead Testing Team, a lab-based group supporting the entire team. The TDT Group provides testing services for cables, transformers, rotating machines, optical ground wire (OPGW), and more.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Etobicoke, Ontario.
The team is very diverse and talented, coming from different backgrounds and areas around the world. It is a fun and exciting environment in a state-of-the-art lab. The team consists of 15 staff members, split between 10 lab technologists who carry out the lab tests, and 4 engineers / PMs who wear a variety of hats. The group is divided equally between electrical and mechanical disciplines. The work schedule is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, at the Facility in Etobicoke. Core hours are from 8 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm, with some flexibility once you get up to speed.
