Job summary

Laserfiche is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Development Team in Toronto. In this role, you'll write and test code, collaborate with fellow engineers, and utilize software engineering standards to tackle technical challenges. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Computer Science and programming skills in C#, C++, or Java, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Description

The Laserfiche Development Team is growing! Software Engineers (SE) are at the heart of our product teams, building, refining and often inventing new solutions for our customers. SE's at Laserfiche take huge responsibility over the product and teams combining their experience and technical knowledge, which enables you to solve a wide range of problems in creative ways. You will work with other like-minded engineers and collaborate when needed with Support Engineers to assist customers with their technical issues.

Location:

  • Three days/week work from Office – Toronto, Canada
  • Work from home on Thursdays and Fridays
About the Role – Key Responsibilities
  • Write and test code for existing and new programs
  • Utilize software engineering standards, processes, and techniques
  • Create, maintain, and support documentation of functionality and processes
  • Record and document code changes using source control management
  • Participate in peer-group reviews of designs, code, and documentation
  • Communicate technical feasibility of design ideas
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects
  • Present work-in-progress and released functionality in informal and formal presentations
  • Collaborate with Technical Support engineers to solve issues that may be caused by a software defect
  • Adhere to the Laserfiche software development standard
  • Work independently to complete assignments with minimal supervision or guidance
About You – Essential Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate with and support fellow engineers, QA, UX, Product among other
  • Skill with object-oriented programming (such as in C#, C++, Java)
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new software technologies
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • BS, Masters or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technical field
The salary range varies, and pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, certifications (if applicable), candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience amongst other factors.
  • $85,000 - $100,000 CAD per year
