Job Summary

The Hydro Vac Operator will operate a tri-drive hydroVac unit at our client site in Fort McMurray. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all weather conditions. Preference will be given to those with previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector.

Responsibilities

• Operate tri-drive hydroVac units safely and efficiently
• Perform tasks physically in all weather conditions
• Complete daily documentation, including log books, work orders, risk assessments, and inspections
• Follow instructions from dispatch or supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to safety regulations

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or 3 operator’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, including up to 18-speed manual Class 1 equipment
• Previous experience operating hydroVac units
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
• H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space, and Fall Protection certifications
• Successful completion of BME driver’s evaluation, D&A, and fit-for-duty screening
