Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Clients site location Fort McMurray, the Hydro Vac Operator position involves the safe operation of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate Tri-drive hydro Vac units in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
  • Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily log books, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections.
  • Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image.
  • Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment).
  • Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification.
  • Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
