Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring an experienced Hydrovac Operator for a temporary 3-month contract with potential to convert to full-time. The role features a 14/7 schedule with days and nights, and no flights or camp provided at site in Fort McKay.

Preference for candidates with hydro-vac experience, Class 3 licence, OSSA/CSTS/H2S Alive certs, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Local candidates are favored where possible.

Qualifications

• Class 3 licence with clean driving record and valid medical.
• Hydrovac unit operation experience in industrial settings.
• OSSA/CSTS/H2S Alive certificates current and valid.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydro vac units safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily logbooks, work orders and risk assessments.
• Follow dispatch or supervisor instructions and maintain vehicle.

Job Summary:

Operating from ourClients site location Fort McMurray t he Hydro Vac Operatorposition involves the safe operation of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit.Operators should be mechanically inclinedand physically fit to work in all kinds of weather.Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experiencein the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• OperateTri-drive hydro Vac unitsin a safe and efficient manner
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylog books, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections
• Follow instructions for tasks assignedby Dispatch or Supervisor
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
• Attend dailytool boxand safety meetings as scheduledand adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess a v valid Class 3 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment)
• Previous (or related) experience operating hydroVac units
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
• H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification
• Must be able to complete online training.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening
