Job summary

Skilled Trades Agency is seeking a Hydrovac Mechanic for a utility contractor working in Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. This is a full-time, permanent position with a 6:30AM start and Monday–Friday shifts, with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing hydrovac vehicles, collaborating with Fleet and Departmental Managers, and assisting with engine troubleshooting and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 310T/S license.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the trade.
• Prior experience servicing hydrovac trucks is a strong asset.
• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• DZ License is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, adjust, hydrovac vehicles.
• Work with Fleet Managers to ensure timely repairs.
• Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine issues.
• Assist with cleaning, lubrication and routine maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Company:

Our client is a utility contractor focused on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design.

They are growing at a rapid rate and are looking to add a Hydrovac Mechanic to their team!

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, adjust, hydrovac vehicles
• Work directly alongside co-workers, Departmental Managers and Fleet Managers to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner
• Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine issues including repairs and overhauls
• Assist with cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess a valid 310T/S license
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the trade
• Prior experience working on servicing hydrovac trucks is considered to be a strong asset
• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
• DZ Driver's License is considered an asset
• Ability to operate manual transmission
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50LBS with the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
