Job summary

GFL is seeking a full-time, permanent 310T Mechanic based at the Iroquois, ON facility. The role involves diagnosing and repairing heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment, maintaining trailers and vehicles, and servicing payloaders, excavators and tractors.

The candidate must have a GED or high school diploma, at least 1 year of 310T experience, a valid 310T license, and be willing to learn new software while following safety regulations and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a 310T Mechanic.
• Full 310T License.
• Must be computer literate and willing to learn software systems.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel equipment, live bottom trailers, end dump trailers, tanker trailers and vehicles.

• Complete reports and work orders daily.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedules.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize power and hand tools and equipment.
• Possess and maintain tools necessary for maintenance on heavy/hydraulic equipment.

GFL is looking for a full-time, permanent 310T Mechanic to be based out of the Iroquois, ON Facility. The Company offers full operational and safety training.

Job Duties

• Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel equipment, live bottom trailers, end dump trailers, tanker trailers and vehicles.
• Service a variety of payloaders, excavators, and agricultural tractors and implements.
• Complete reports, work orders, and perform other administrative duties daily as required.
• Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations
• Utilize a variety of power and hand tools and equipment
• Possess, provide, and maintain tools necessary to perform tasks related to maintenance on heavy/hydraulic equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a 310T Mechanic
• Full 310T License
• Must be computer literate, able to be trained on software systems and willing to learn.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
• Experience using diagnostic software a plus
• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
• Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records
• Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
• Possess physical ability to perform all aspects of job
