Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in Saskatchewan is seeking an Equipment Operator to ensure safe operation of heavy machinery and complete daily maintenance and safety checks under Foreman supervision.

You will operate hydrovac, excavators, loaders, skid steers and related equipment on active construction sites, adhere to safety regulations, read site plans, and report maintenance needs to the Fleet Foreman.

Qualifications

• Equipment operator training/certification relevant to the operated equipment.
• 3–5 years of experience operating equipment, preferably excavators, loaders, skid steers.
• Experience with hydrovac, directional drilling, locating, or other utility equipment is an asset.
• Experience on powerline, utility, transmission, civil construction, or related projects is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow site plans and work with the construction team to understand tasks.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Perform daily pre-use and post-use safety and maintenance checks; document inspections.
• Advise Fleet Foreman of maintenance or repair needs; assist in routine maintenance.
