Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking an Equipment Operator to ensure safe operation and daily maintenance of heavy equipment at our project sites in Canada.

You will follow site plans, work with the construction team, and perform routine maintenance and inspections to meet safety and quality standards. The role requires experience with loaders, excavators, skid steers, Hydrovac and directional drilling equipment, and a Saskatchewan Class 5A driver's license.

Qualifications

• Equipment operator training/certification appropriate to the equipment being operated.
• 3–5 years of experience operating equipment, preferably excavators, loaders, skid steers.
• Experience with Hydrovac, directional drilling, locating or utility equipment is an asset.
• Experience on powerline, utility or civil construction projects is an asset.
• Saskatchewan Class 5A license is required; higher classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow site plans and work with the construction team to understand tasks.
• Understand equipment operating manuals and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the Fleet Foreman.
• Complete daily inspections and keep documentation up to date.
