Job summary

DFI Steel Piling in Weyburn, SK is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to safely conduct hydro excavation projects, exposing utilities, removing debris, trenching, and digging. You will operate Hydrovac trucks and supervise field labourers, ensuring work is completed to schedule and to high safety standards.

The role requires a Class 3 license, experience with manual transmission, and active safety certifications. You’ll work out of town as needed, with benefits including health and dental, RRSP

Qualifications

  • Minimum class 3 license with clean driver''s abstract.
  • Experience operating a manual transmission, with direct experience on 18 speed vehicles.
  • CSTS (Construction Safety Training) and other safety certifications are assets.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs.
  • Ability to work out of town.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging.
  • Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Supervise activities of Hydrovac Field Labourers to ensure skill development.
  • Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation.
  • Complete all required paperwork properly and within set timelines.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as routine maintenance.
