Job summary

Raise is seeking a Pressure Test Technician in Calgary to safely test, inspect, and verify downhole tools and assemblies against engineering specs and industry standards. You will work with Production, Shipping/Receiving, Materials and Quality, maintain traceability, document results, and ensure equipment is calibrated and used safely.

Training is provided in Leduc before beginning work in Calgary. This role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing or assembly, and the ability

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing or assembly environment (oil & gas or downhole tools preferred).
  • Experience with serialized components and traceability is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Experience hydrotesting and using control valves.
  • ERP or manufacturing tracking systems experience is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and traceability.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and documentation requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork across operations and supply chain.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., as required.

Responsibilities

  • Pressure testing and hydrotesting on completed tools.
  • Assemble downhole tool components per drawings and BOMs.
  • Interpret torque specs and assembly procedures.
  • Use calibrated hand tools and torque wrenches.
  • Ensure correct part orientation, fit, and function.
  • Record test results and maintain traceability.
  • Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving to resolve material discrepancies.
  • Maintain calibration and safe operation of testing equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards.
