Job summary

Artemis Gold is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for the Blackwater Mine site in British Columbia. You will lead mine water management, hydrology, hydraulics, and water treatment initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards while delivering capital projects.

The role requires a P.Eng. in Canada, 3–5 years in mining or water management, and proficiency with GoldSim, Civil 3D, GIS, and related tools. The position is on-site with a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.

Qualifications

• Registered as a P.Eng. in Canada and eligible for registration with EGBC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Water resources, Civil, Environmental, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of mining, industrial, or water management experience.
• Experience with GoldSim, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, Power BI, Python, Deswik, Muk3D or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Lead surface water and groundwater management programs to support safe mine operations.
• Develop, calibrate, and validate the GoldSim water balance model.
• Prepare and review hydrologic analyses, water balance forecasts, and risk assessments.
• Design and review water infrastructure (diversion channels, ponds, pipelines, pumps).
• Coordinate monitoring programs and data interpretation for water quality and hydrology.
• Support permitting, regulatory reporting, and environmental compliance.
