Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) is seeking a Hydrogeology Student in Calgary to gain hands-on experience mapping aquifers, working with groundwater data, and supporting petroleum geology and hydrogeology projects within Thermal or Conventional areas.

The role includes on-the-job training, data compilation, and regional mapping tasks, with a 4‑month term starting May 2027. Applicants should be enrolled in Geology with Hydrogeology specialization and be able to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in master’s or bachelor’s Geology with Hydrogeology specialization.
• Physically and mentally fit for work.
• Motivated self‑starter who can thrive as an independent worker and in team settings.
• Ability to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Compile and assess regional geological and hydrogeological data.
• Regional bedrock aquifer mapping.
• Mapping the hydraulic head of regional artesian aquifers.
