Job summary

Finning Canada in Prince George is hiring a Hydraulic Specialist to troubleshoot, repair and maintain CAT components across our service portfolio. You will work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks and interact with customers to ensure quality service.

The role is based out of Prince George on a 7x7 continuous shift. We offer wage: $30.41-$50.70 per hour, 6% employer pension plus up to 1% match, 6% employee share purchase with 2% Finning match, 100% employer paid medical

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket is an asset.
• Experience with Caterpillar general line products is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Wage: $30.41 - $50.70

Job Description

As the Hydraulics Specialist, you will troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of CAT components, such as cylinders and valves.

• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
• Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with internal and external customers
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
• Previous engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset

Important Details

• This position is based out of Prince George, on a 7x7 Continuous Shift
• A condition of employment may be to be fit tested and wear a respirator
