Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate models for wastewater and water distribution systems
• Conduct technical analysis and design studies
• Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations
• Create maps using GIS and modelling software
• Manage asset data and large computer models
• Establish and refine hydraulic modelling standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on servicing and feasibility studies
• Support design of land development and municipal projects
• Guide design teams with hydraulic analysis
• Liaise with agencies to meet regulatory standards
• Apply experience in hydraulic modelling across project stages
• Engage in continuous learning and training
• Support other duties as needed, demonstrating versatility

Qualifications

• 4+ years hydraulic modelling experience in BC, capable of leading and sealing work
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Interest in sewer and watermain modelling for real-life issues
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of AWWA and BC standards
• Experience with modelling software (InfoWorks ICM, Water/SewerGEMS, etc.)
• Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS) and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to analyze watermain and sewer flows and pressures
• Leadership skills demonstrated through extracurricular or volunteer activities

Compensation

Salary range in BC: $82,900 - $114,000. Final salary depends on education, experience, skills, and other factors. The range may be adjusted for organizational needs.
