We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Mechanic/Welder to join our team. This dual-role position involves mechanical work related to hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders as well as a range of welding tasks. If you’re a hands-on professional with a mechanical mindset and solid welding skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanic Duties:

• Disassemble and inspect hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders used in industrial applications.
• Measure tolerances of seal grooves and other components using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Identify seal types and materials.
• Document inspection results and recommended repair work.
• Reassemble and pressure test cylinders to ensure proper function.

Welding Duties:

• Rebuild bushing bores for rod and barrel eyes.
• Perform welding on barrel assemblies.
• Use SMAW (stick and MIG) welding techniques.
• Operate oxy-acetylene torches for cutting and heating tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an asset.
• Proficiency in SMAW welding (stick and MIG).
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-focused mindset.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
