Job summary

Marsh is seeking a senior actuary in Toronto to be a strategic partner with brokers and clients. The role supports the Global Analytics & Advisory Actuarial team with analytics resources and client-facing solutions in a hybrid setting requiring three days in-office weekly.

The candidate will lead complex models, advise on pricing strategies, and help expand services beyond traditional reinsurance. Strong communication and coding skills in R, Python, SQL, and VBA are essential.

Qualifications

• Actuarial professional with ACAS required, FCAS preferred
• 7–10 years of industry experience in actuarial services and valuations
• Pricing, valuation and/or capital modeling experience
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite and data visualization tools
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for client reporting
• Programming experience in R, Python, VBA or SQL
• Ability to lead day-to-day parts of projects and drive progress
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Act independently to propose actuarial services and valuations to clients
• Modify complex specialty models and develop more value-added models
• Expand client services beyond reinsurance to drive business development
• Direct team to build complex models for risk assessment and pricing strategy
• Advise senior management on issues and progress in the transaction process
• Communicate strategically with brokers, reinsurers and clients to meet needs
