Job summary

Alberta Securities Commission is seeking a Senior Regulatory Analyst in Calgary. You will lead complex regulatory reviews, mentor junior staff, and present findings to ASC leadership while ensuring compliance with Alberta securities laws.

The role supports the Registrant Oversight team within the Market Regulation division. The position offers hybrid work arrangements, an emphasis on collaboration with CSA counterparts, and opportunities to influence regulatory outcomes and industry best

Qualifications

• University degree in business or related field.
• CPA or CFA designation required.
• 10+ years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex regulatory reviews and oversight activities.
• Prepare and present detailed compliance reports with recommendations.
• Manage relationships with senior management of regulated entities.
• Maintain records of reviews and summarise analyses and conclusions.
• Oversight of implementation of action plans to rectify deficiencies.
• Mentor junior Registrant Oversight Analysts and share best practices.
• Present findings to ASC leadership and committees.
