Job summary

Natural Factors in Canada is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to oversee costing systems, ensuring accurate allocation of material, labour and overhead to products, and to support plant profitability.

The role is permanent full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid work arrangement. You will prepare CPU reports, analyze monthly statements, and drive cost improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or related field is required.
• CPA or CMA certification (or actively pursuing) is preferred.
• 5+ years in a finance or accounting role with cost/ manufacturing focus.
• Strong GAAP and ASPE knowledge and experience with manufacturing operations.
• Experience with MRP/ERP accounting systems and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of BOM and BOO and associated cost flows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee costing systems to allocate material, labour and overhead to products.
• Prepare Cost per Unit (CPU) reports and recommend efficiency/cost reductions.
• Analyze monthly plant financials and variance reports for accuracy.
• Perform quarterly global cost updates for stock codes across companies.
• Ensure transfer prices for finished goods align with policy.
• Oversee costing projects and assess system impacts.
