The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence up to three days per week. Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and collaboration with plant operations and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior-level accounting role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
• Experience with month-end close and reliable financial reporting.
• Understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee period-end close, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze fluctuations.
• Analyze product costing and manufacturing expenses, including inventory valuation and cost trends.
• Collaborate with plant/operations leadership to assess inventory activity and manufacturing spend.
• Support inventory accounting through reconciliations, cycle counts, and costing accuracy.
• Examine variances, allocation methods, and inventory transactions for reliable data.
• Assist with system/process enhancements for inventory and costing.
• Maintain general ledger integrity with focus on manufacturing accounts.
• Prepare documentation for year-end reporting and audits; support external auditors.
• Contribute to integration work from acquired business with ERP changes and internal controls.
