Job summary

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular Full-time Business Systems Analyst II to join our Blood Management Solutions team in our Digital Solutions and Technology division. You will analyze requirements, design, and support enterprise blood management systems such as ePROGESA, collaborating with business, quality, and regulatory stakeholders.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, system validation, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (preferably Science, Business, or Healthcare Administration) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a role involving business analysis, process development, and software life-cycle management.
• Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business end-users.
• Deep understanding of requirements gathering, functional design, solution development, testing and validation within a regulated environment.
• Experience working in a biologics manufacturing, healthcare or laboratory environment is a significant asset.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering high-quality functional initiatives under defined timelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key business stakeholders to discuss proposed changes, conduct analysis, and gather requirements.
• Design, development, and configuration of strategic enhancements and changes to blood management systems.
• Perform system validation and develop documentation to support system design, development, and change execution.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to communicate changes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in project management and software release planning to support timely delivery of changes.
• Serve as a liaison for IT stakeholders and software vendors to coordinate enhancements, fixes, and lifecycle activities.
