Job summary

The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is seeking a full-time, in-person Retail and Community Food Coordinator in Kitchener, Ontario. Salary ranges from $58,738 to $71,370.34 annually, with duties spanning retail partnerships, donor relations, and food recovery operations.

Reporting to the Food Procurement and Distribution Services Manager, you will strengthen grocery partnerships, coordinate campaigns, and support volunteer activities while ensuring program success in a collaborative Operations team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, community engagement, food recovery, nonprofit work, or similar position.
• Post-secondary education in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, food systems, nutrition, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with customers, donors, clients, or stakeholders.
• Experience with data entry, spreadsheets, tracking, and basic reporting.
• A valid Ontario G-class driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
• Experience supporting community campaigns, fundraising initiatives, events, or volunteer activities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen retail partnerships to increase food recovery and support onboarding of stores.
• Coordinate retailer participation in fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
• Develop relationships with food donors and track recovery volumes and outcomes.
• Coordinate food recovery operations with Transportation and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth pickups.
• Assist with warehouse tasks and other duties as needed.
