Job summary

Community Living BC (CLBC) is seeking a Provincial Community Engagement Lead to drive engagement strategies with people served, families, and community partners across British Columbia. The role emphasizes authentic relationships, accessibility, and capacity-building for staff.

You will support Community Councils, advise on grants and projects, and promote leadership and inclusion for people CLBC serves, with a focus on lived experience and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• 5+ years advising self-advocacy and community living sectors.
• 5+ years leading engagement and community-building with diverse communities.
• Plain language communication knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead CLBC's community engagement strategy and implementation.
• Support engagement with self-advocates, families, Councils, and partners.
• Develop accessible engagement approaches and build staff capacity.
• Guide self-advocate policy and related advisory activities.
• Gather feedback and translate into action in CLBC programs.
