Job summary

AXIS Capital in Canada is seeking a Program Claims Manager to lead multi-line program claims, including Casualty, Property, and Marine, and to manage both AXIS and TPA teams. The role reports to the Head of Canada Claims and requires strong governance, regulatory and vendor management skills.

The ideal candidate will coordinate with underwriting, Compliance, and Legal to ensure regulatory adherence, manage audits, and drive data-driven claims analytics, with occasional travel to support

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in commercial insurance programs and TPA managed portfolios.
• Ability to oversee Third Party Administrators through governance and performance management.
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Translate claims trends into actionable underwriting insights.
• Ability to manage complex, high-severity claims across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Direct handling of program claims, including investigation and evaluation of coverage and damages.
• Manage TPA-handled claims, guiding TPA handlers through all stages.
• Oversee TPA relationships, onboarding/offboarding, due diligence and performance tracking.
• Lead complex claim escalations and ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee TPA reporting, data accuracy, and funding requests.
