Job summary

Sobeys is hiring a Project Manager for a permanent full-time, hybrid role based in Mississauga, ON or Montreal, QC. You will oversee end-to-end project delivery across cross-functional teams, leveraging Planview and agile/hybrid methods to optimize outcomes.

You will lead stakeholders, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while supporting Sobeys’ e-commerce and customer experience initiatives in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience with e-commerce and marketing.
• Experience with personalization, CRM, loyalty, digital customer journeys or related customer experience programs.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management across Marketing, Merchandising, Loyalty, E‑commerce, Data/Analytics and Technology.
• Planview or similar project portfolio tool proficiency.
• Strong budget management and financial acumen.
• Experience managing difficult stakeholders and VP-level influence.
• PMI PMP certification or MBA preferred.
• Bilingual English and French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects.
• Apply agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies to optimize delivery.
• Develop clear objectives, requirements, and manage the triple constraint of cost, time, and quality.
• Create and manage the project plan to ensure delivery within budget and timelines.
• Monitor project status and deliverables to achieve quality.
• Manage changes in accordance with project change controls.
• Facilitate core project documents such as Project Brief, Project Charter, RAID log, etc.
• Effectively communicate with senior sponsors to drive engagement and align with business goals.
• Lead and coach project teams to achieve high performance.
• Support departmental continuous improvement initiatives in processes and management maturity.
