Job summary

Hydrostor is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Toronto team in a hybrid role. You will provide practical legal guidance across a broad range of business activities, supporting development, financing, construction and operation of long-duration energy storage projects globally.

Ideal for an early-career lawyer expanding beyond traditional corporate law. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage inbound and outbound contracts, and contribute to governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years post-call experience in corporate and commercial law at a leading firm in Canada, US, Australia, or UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders across Commercial, Development, Engineering, Finance, HR and other functions.
• Support external counsel on international project development, financing, construction, regulatory, and corporate matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate PPAs, procurement, EPC, land, confidentiality and other contracts.
