Canadian Solar is seeking a commercial lawyer to join its legal team at the parent company level, with hybrid work options and a home office in Kitchener, Ontario. This position supports parent company and global subsidiary operations in manufacturing, solar and energy storage projects.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating diverse agreements, advising on disputes, and coordinating with regional legal teams while maintaining high ethical standards and Canadian Solar policies.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of corporate/commercial experience; renewables, manufacturing, financing or securities law is a plus.
• Must be licensed to practice law in your jurisdiction.
• Strong drafting skills and experience negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including lender facilities, intercompany services contracts, procurement and IT contracts.
• Advise on contract disputes while preserving business relationships.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to parent company and global subsidiary operations.
• Coordinate with regional legal teams and supervise external counsel as needed.
• Assist in developing legal policies and processes at the parent company level to ensure compliance.
