Job summary

Toast is seeking an Inside Sales AE to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new restaurateurs in the Toronto territory. You will use a consultative approach to understand clients’ needs and craft tailored solutions that help their business thrive.

This hybrid role requires you in the Toronto office two days per week. You will drive the full sales cycle, conduct product demos, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet delivery expectations. Salesforce experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a sourcing or closing sales role selling complex hardware/software solutions, restaurant operations, or a relatable field.
• Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels.
• Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals.
• Experience cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of success preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment.
• Self-motivated, creative, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close.
• Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs.
• Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery.
• Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities.
• Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market.
