Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Industrial Automation Engineer to join our Kimberley operations, driving the integration and optimization of automated systems to boost production efficiency and safety.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated processes, collaborating with engineering and production teams to modernize industrial practices and deliver measurable improvements in quality and throughput.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with automation specialization.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and robotic systems integration.
Proficiency in Ladder Logic and Structured Text; familiarity with automation software platforms.
Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and troubleshoot automated systems including robotics, PLCs, and SCADA to improve manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain automation software ensuring integration with production equipment.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects in Kimberley .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing workflows and new product lines.
Ensure automated systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
