Job summary

Finning International Inc. in British Columbia is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team.

This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration in Surrey with flexible work arrangements and growth opportunities within Finning's diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will prepare financial analyses, build models, and support monthly reporting for leadership, while developing our reporting capabilities with Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related degree required or working towards CPA/MBA.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Excel skills with lookups and pivot tables; familiarity with Power BI or SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares reports and/ or supports the preparation of analysis accurately and on a timely basis.
• Supports financial models for requests such as revenue models, free cash flow analysis, and profit margin analysis.
• Assists in preparation of ad hoc financial analysis.
• Performs research as requested and supports peer checks for accuracy of reports/presentations.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly reporting packages and presentations for leadership and internal/external customers.
• Performs variance analysis on financial and commercial results and commentary.
