Job summary

IGM Financial Inc. is seeking a winter internship in Saskatchewan (Regina) to learn financial planning, client relationships, and business operations.

You'll work under a Wealth Advisor, gaining hands-on exposure to planning processes and client service in a practice setting. The position runs January–April 2027, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with base salary of $49,000–$51,000 prorated plus paid time off.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a post-secondary program in financial planning, finance, accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a Wealth Advisor and learn day-to-day activities.
• Support client meeting preparation and documentation.
• Assist with organizing client information and files.
• Learn financial planning process from discovery to ongoing service.
• Support business development initiatives and client engagement.
• Contribute to practice management activities.
• Build understanding of investment, retirement, estate, tax, and wealth planning.
• Participate in training and mentorship opportunities.
• Support special projects based on practice needs.
