Job summary

CHARM Fertility in Brampton is seeking a Lab Technician/Medical Office Administrator to support both front-desk operations and basic laboratory workflows. The role combines clinical and administrative duties, including patient scheduling, EMR record management, billing, and blood collection.

The position requires a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent, MLPAO registration, and experience with phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Formal education in medical lab tech or equivalent.
• Associate/MBA-type assets are preferred per posting.
• MLPAO registration is required or asset.
• Experience with phlebotomy and lab workflows valued.

Responsibilities

• Consult with physicians on scheduling and appointments.
• Maintain patient records in EMR (Oscar) and organize test results.
• Handle admin tasks: faxes, photocopies, scanning, deliveries.
• Administer patient billing and collect payments.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information per regulatory standards.
• Collect blood samples and perform lab tasks as directed.
• Keep phlebotomy cart and station organized; enforce infection control.
