Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Manager to empower our global development organization based in Vancouver, with a hybrid work schedule. You will lead cross‑functional teams, optimize development processes and tooling, and drive the roadmap for next‑generation infrastructure.

In this role you’ll mentor a DevOps team, oversee CI/CD improvements, ensure security and compliance across the SDLC, and partner with IT and product teams to raise developer productivity and delivery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading and motivating DevOps teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in development or DevOps, with strong CI/CD fundamentals.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Deep understanding and appreciation for Agile methodologies.
• Experience utilizing Jira for project management and issue tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the charge: guide and mentor a high-performing DevOps team across next-generation infrastructure development, toolchain modernization, and release automation.
• Bridge legacy and next-gen: oversee integration of legacy infrastructure and release support while migrating services to modern platforms.
• Optimize CI/CD & build performance: lead pipeline improvements to reduce build times and improve deployment velocity.
• Drive developer productivity: provision consistent development environments and standardized tooling to minimize setup time.
• Embed security & compliance: integrate security standards, dependency tracking, and compliance checks into the SDLC and release infrastructure.
• Balance operations & strategy: manage day-to-day operations and tech debt alongside long-term roadmap goals.
• Foster cross-functional alignment: collaborate with IT and product teams to set unified engineering standards and debt prioritization.
