Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Senior System Development Engineer in Vancouver to drive high-speed CI/CD pipelines, build internal tooling APIs, CLI tools, and dashboards, and treat infrastructure as a product with secure, automated, self-healing capabilities.

You will design IaC-based, reproducible environments, implement advanced observability, and ensure cybersecurity alignment across global standards in a fast-paced security-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in system development, integration engineering, or QA automation.
• Proficiency in object oriented and scripting programming languages.
• Strong Linux/Unix internals knowledge and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/3).

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize high-speed deployment pipelines with tested, secure deployment strategies (Canary/Blue-Green).
• Develop internal platforms, APIs, CLI tools, and dashboards for self-serve infrastructure.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible, version-controlled, immutable environments.
• Provide RCA for complex distributed systems failures and implement preventive tooling to avoid recurrence.
• Implement telemetry, distributed tracing, and automated alerting for high availability and performance.
• Replicate complex customer deployment environments for system integration and stability testing.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance and adherence to global standards.
