General Dynamics Mission Systems – Canada is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance development and operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will build reliable, scalable infrastructure, define CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.

The role combines remote and onsite work in Calgary or Ottawa, with security clearances and a strong emphasis on automation, IaC, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of DevOps experience across cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI preferred).
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience across at least two cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Build cloud-agnostic infrastructure with Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure performance, availability, and scalability across clouds.
• Evaluate and roll out new DevOps tools.
• Maintain security best practices and system hardening.
• Configure and maintain networks and infrastructure.
• Automate provisioning and integration across cloud/on-prem.
• Develop scripts to deploy solutions and automate tasks.
• Develop automated tests for new functionality.
