XTM Group in Montreal, Canada, seeks a Legal Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support with a focus on commercial contracts. You will work closely with the Legal team to ensure customer and supplier agreements protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks.

Hybrid role (3-4 days in office) reporting to senior legal leadership. Experience with data privacy, GDPR and SaaS contracts is highly valued.

Formación

• Experience as a Paralegal, Legal Executive or in a similar legal role with strong experience drafting, reviewing and supporting the negotiation of commercial contracts.
• A legal qualification or relevant legal training is preferred.
• Experience with NDAs, customer and supplier contracts, and other business agreements.
• Understanding of general legal principles and an interest in data protection/privacy regulations, including GDPR.
• Experience in technology or SaaS industry is an advantage but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review and support negotiation of commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, orders, SOWs, and reseller/referral agreements.
• Assist Sales and internal stakeholders through contract review to enable deal execution while protecting commercial interests.
• Review terms for risk and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Maintain and update contract templates, policies and playbooks; support RFP/RFI responses.
