Job summary

The City of Victoria is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Manager to lead the critical technology services behind one of Canada’s most progressive municipal organizations. You will guide architecture, data-centre operations, and enterprise networking while focusing on customer service and collaboration with corporate support departments.

In a Microsoft environment, you will advance Azure Local and expand Azure cloud services as the on‑premises data-centre footprint shrinks through SaaS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• ITIL or equivalent foundation certification.
• Completion of Advanced Level Project Management Institute courses.

Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-term architectures and technology strategic plans.
• Supervise and manage technical staff of the Network and Infrastructure Division.
• Foster a positive departmental culture of continuous improvement and service orientation.
• Represent IT with City departments and external partners; advise on technological matters.
• Develop policies and controls for disaster recovery and business continuity of IT.
• Project manage technical components of IT projects; manage vendors and contracts.
