Job summary

CIBC, a leading Canadian financial institution, is seeking a Business Analyst – Operations and Oversight in Toronto. You will translate business problems into clear requirements, connect processes to system behavior, and support incident resolution and change delivery.

A hybrid work arrangement is offered, with 1–3 days on-site. You’ll gather requirements, analyze data, and collaborate with squads and stakeholders to improve operational effectiveness and the client experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis, business systems analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, root cause analysis, and solution validation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex problems into clear requirements.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, incident management, and agile delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Apply domain knowledge to incidents, escalations, and change delivery within the Operations and Oversight Centre of Excellence.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria for solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and stakeholders to move work from investigation to implementation.
• Validate fixes address root causes and capture learnings in shared documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to strengthen operational effectiveness and client experience.
