Job summary

DoorDash Canada is seeking an Engineering Manager for Merchant Financials in Toronto, ON. You will lead a team of backend, web, and mobile engineers delivering end-to-end financial solutions and partner with product, design, and operations to shape the roadmap.

You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive hiring to build a diverse, high-performing team in a fast-growing, product-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience and 2+ years of people management leading teams of 8+ engineers.
• Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment.
• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap.
• Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8+.
• Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking.
• Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team.
