Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Network Engineer in Kimberley to design, implement, and manage in-vehicle communication networks. You will work with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and FlexRay, collaborating with software and hardware teams in a hybrid work setup.

The role requires a 3-5 year track record in automotive networking, strong diagnostic tooling skills, and knowledge of cybersecurity related to vehicle networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of automotive networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet and FlexRay.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR networking stack is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect automotive networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay).
• Configure gateways and ECUs for optimal communication.
• Develop network diagnostics tools and procedures.
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure network security and data integrity within the vehicle.
• Collaborate with software/hardware engineers to integrate network functionalities.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Stay updated on automotive networking standards and emerging technologies.
• Participate in vehicle integration testing and validation.
