Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Senior Engineer, Electrical to design and build an automotive ECU network integration and cyber evaluation environment for DND to support cyber resiliency initiatives. The role emphasizes CAN/CAN-FD network architectures, RAMN-based bench hardware, and rigorous test automation with Scapy and python-can, plus engineering documentation and knowledge transfer to DND staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with senior-level automotive/embedded experience.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD, ECU networks, and automotive cybersecurity.
• Hands-on embedded hardware design: schematics, BOM, wiring, enclosure design.
• Proficiency in Python-based test automation and network analysis (Scapy, python-can).
• Firmware integration experience for embedded/automotive platforms.
• Excellent writing skills for design docs and test procedures.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Eligible for government security clearance (asset in defence environments).

Responsibilities

• Advise DND staff on CAN bus architecture, protocols, and security mitigations.
• Develop and commission RAMN-based automotive bench-top ECU network with CAN/CAN-FD support.
• Produce design artefacts: architecture, schematics, BOM, wiring diagrams, enclosure layout, network config, safety considerations.
• Create test cases and automation scripts to exercise and validate the network with logs and reproducible tests.
• Integrate RAMN firmware and scripts, documenting all modifications.
• Provide operator documentation and knowledge transfer to DND staff.
