Job summary

NDI (Northern Digital Inc.) is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller in Canada to strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. You will partner across Manufacturing Operations, Purchasing, R&D, and Customer Experience to drive business and financial performance.

Reporting to the Controller, you will prepare statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and audits, while leveraging ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for consolidated financial reporting.
• Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Provide guidance to Finance team members on accounting guidelines, processes, and best practices.
• Coordinate documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate corporate insurance renewals and related communications.
• Support Finance projects and process improvements, including automation and new system implementations.
• Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Purchasing, Customer Experience, and R&D to support business and financial objectives.
• Support compliance by adhering to applicable regulatory and quality standards, ensuring product integrity and patient safety in a global medical device environment.
