Job summary

Job-level costing and margin analysis will evolve under your leadership. The role requires strong attention to detail, advanced Excel, and experience with Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with full accounting cycle across two entities.
• Experience transitioning or implementing accounting systems and processes.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (HST, payroll remittances, T4/T4A) and CRA interactions.
• Manufacturing or millwork industry exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, close processes, reconciliations and journal entries for two entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for both entities and the parent.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll support for both businesses.
• Ensure tax compliance (HST, T4/T4A) and CRA correspondence handling.
• Develop job-level costing and margin reporting; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Transition one entity’s accounting from external firm to in-house operation.
• Lead and develop accounting staff across both entities.
